Update - March 7, 2007:
"Patches", a 7-month old Border Collie/husky cross we rescued from euthanasia at the City of Whitehorse Animal Control Shelter last week, has found a new home. She has joined a family with a recreational dog team of cast-off huskies & with hearts as big as all outdoors.

Patches' new name is "Tehya", which is Cherokee for "precious". BTW, Tehya says "who knew herding huskies could be such fun?!!"

Many thanks to Bylaw Constable Vance who helped facilitate the (very) last-minute rescue & especially to Stuart & Tamara for making room for yet one more at the inn.
